Three ROOTS Participants nominated as Green Product Award 2025 Finalists!

We are thrilled to share that no less than three ROOTS Participants have been nominated as finalists for the prestigious Green Product Award 2025! 🎉 These incredible projects embody the spirit of innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship that ROOTS Exhibition stands for.

Here are the inspiring finalists:

1. Zeefier

Their "Dutch Wool and Seaweed" carpet, inspired by the Dutch West Coast, combines local wool and seaweed dyes to create a product that's as sustainable as it is beautiful. This collaboration with The Knitwit Stable, Best Wool, and Millenerpoort showcases the scalability and traceability of socially responsible design.

2. Studio Lotte Douwes

CIRCA, a porcelain made entirely from post-consumer ceramic waste, turns 11 million kilograms of discarded ceramics into a valuable resource. The project not only reduces waste and CO2 emissions but also creates jobs for people with poor job prospects. It's a shining example of circular design with recipes adaptable to various production techniques.

3. LOADS Collection x Machiel Hopman

The LC Coreopsis '23 Bench redefines sustainable luxury, blending recycled wood, natural dyes, and artisanal craftsmanship. Its repairable design tells a story of circularity and durability, offering a thoughtful alternative to fast furniture with time as key ingredient.
